Description

Responding to continued growth in clinical trials, as well as the increasing linkages across life sciences, diagnostics and healthcare, Oracle has formed a new Global Business Unit focused on software applications for the health sciences industry.

The Health Science Global Business Unit will:

Oracle today offers the sector’s most comprehensive suite of software applications for clinical development. These products can be deployed individually or together and include Oracle Clinical, Oracle Remote Data Capture, Oracle Thesaurus Management System, Oracle Adverse Event Reporting System, Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub, and Oracle’s Siebel Clinical Trial Management System.

In addition to the we are now offering the Phase Forward and Argus solutions

Oracle’s application platform for health sciences helps companies bring together all the critical aspects of the clinical development, safety, and pharmacovigilance processes into a single, open platform built on state-of-the-art technology.

Oracle Clinical Trials provide a streamlined system for managing large volumes of patient data collected during clinical trials. They offer features for modeling any kind of clinical study, automatically storing components for reuse in a flexible global library.

 



Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers.The sales position is a key Health Science Global Business Unit position that requires team based cross selling within the broad account base of an entire region (Biotech, Pharma, and CRO Channel).  Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning.Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application.Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition.Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.



Qualifications
Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).

Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years field sales experience with focus on large strategic accounts including applications sales experience. Highly developed selling, customer relations and negotiation skills. Successful sales track record. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle*s competitors. Interaction with C level players. Team player. Ability to penetrate accounts and meet with stakeholders within accounts. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Presentation skills. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
