Manages a team that is responsible for identifying relevant new business opportunities and designing "go-to-market" plans to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Consistently meets with potential customers and current customers to build pipeline.



Manages a team of business development representatives for a territory/region. May manage through other managers. The team is actively and frequently customer facing, providing the value proposition to business or org leaders, qualifying opportunities, and selling the value of the oracle solution. Provides daily operations management of lead qualification functions. Participates, as a team member, in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and provides hiring recommendations to senior management. Manages budget. Provides support to marketing and sales programs.



Experience qualifying prospects and customers; understanding of the sales cycle process. Strong leadership skills. Strong Oracle product knowledge preferred. BA/BS preferred. Experience managing staff. Manage and control activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensure appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet business needs.

Are you an expert in helping customers find the most value in their Cloud strategy? Do you have experience in delivering managed services for Federal and DoD customers in the Cloud or as a hosting provider? Oracle Managed Cloud Services is seeking people who can help customers achieve success in our Gen2 cloud environment.











Work scope will consist of:



Business development, business strategy, product-market alignment, opportunity identification and sales enablement (initially 70%, later 40%)







Develop market segment business strategy and guide execution



Identify the service offerings and selling motions that will expand our accessible market space



Drive the definition, documentation and GTM of market-aligned service offerings to expand our catalog



Create customer-facing service value messaging and supporting selling collateral



Support enablement of ACS and xLOB sales teams to deliver the service value message



Coordinate with Cloud PM teams to drive ACS/MCS and customer requirements to delivery







Account-based engagement, opportunity leadership, deal capture and expediting (initially 30%, later 60%)







Provide direct management and skill development of pre-sales Solution Managers



Guide pre-sales engagements and solution development



Provide opportunity leadership, aligning service offerings, contracting approaches and business case; advise sales team on opportunity close plans



Coordinate with xLOB stakeholders (ECA, Tech, SaaS, etc) as customer advocate and MCS business stakeholder



Lead business capture campaigns for large, strategic new business pursuits







*Preferred Qualifications*



* Demonstrated experience in pre-sales, go-to-market and business development

* Proven ability to coordinate mutli-faceted pursuit efforts and find alignment between competing teams

* Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results for customers

* Flexibility and comfort engaging in value conversations with customers

* Excellent written and verbal communication

* Build value propositions, messaging, and guidance for sales, customers and delivery

* OCI, Oracle applications, virtualization, networking, and storage experience a plus
