Overall responsibility for the regions sales, third party alliances, and customer satisfaction. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle's opportunities across all products and product lines.



Manages and develops a team of sales representatives including recruiting, hiring, and training new reps on the Oracle sales process. Sells and promotes the sales of Oracle products to customers including negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of the sale. Participates in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Builds working relationships with license, consulting and education field managers in the respective territory to develop joint account plans. Develops and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue. Generates and achieves monthly territory forecasts, and accurately predicts revenue on a monthly basis. Manages escalation. Conducts weekly progress meetings with sales team.



Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas or sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Minimum five or more years sales or sales management experience within technology industry. Ability to hire and train new sales representatives. Ability to resolve customer satisfaction issues. Demonstrated leadership skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to present to large and small audiences. Ability to negotiate price, other concessions and terms and conditions. Strong quantitative, analytical and conflict resolution abilities.

We are searching for a Regional Sales Director, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for our Public Sector Hardware East US Sales organization focused on selling into State & Local (SLG).



The successful candidate will be a great motivator and excellent team player with a track record of success. They will have experience with all aspects of pipeline management, strategic planning and driving profitable growth with a focus on mentoring and helping all direct reports / members of their sales team succeed in all aspects of their roles.



This Cloud Infrastructure and Engineered Systems Public Sector Hardware Sales Team Leader will not only lead a team but also have some sales responsibilities and have a background and experience selling public sector hardware server systems such as Engineered Systems and Server Platforms, both on-premise and Cloud-based. Product Portfolio includes Enterprise-class Private/Public Cloud solutions, x86/SPARC hardware and Engineered Systems: Exadata, SuperCluster, & Big Data Appliance. Proficiency in the areas of Enterprise Architecture, OS, Database, Applications, HPC, Storage, and Virtualization, IaaS and Cloud.



You and your team will sell integrated solutions into existing State & Local (SLG) customers and net new business units within accounts. You and your team will leverage resources including partners, business development teams and marketing campaigns to generate demand and create pipeline within the territory. Your team will manage sales cycle from opportunity discovery to closure and participate in leading account planning Go to Market Sessions.



The successful candidate should be skilled in discovering compliance-based issues, budgets, contracts, regulations, and procurement cycles. Experience in Complex Deal/Capture Management Expertise; Finance, Pricing and Contracts Background a plus.



This is a combination Sales Leader / Manager and Hunter role with strong experience mentoring and managing a sales team to successful meeting / exceeding quota targets.
