Manage the sales / business development activities in the assigned region / market to ensure attainment of the organizations sales growth objectives. Implements all business strategies according to the organizations long range and annual business plans. Increase sales by focusing sales activities at the end-user level to develop product specifications, approvals and sales. Support and manage Manufacturer Representative and internal sales team to ensure program implementation and sales growth. Support distribution partners through joint sales calls, program development and marketing programs. Implement programs to successfully introduce new products and broaden product / market focus.
Essential Duties:
- Meet or exceed assigned sales budget.
- Responsible for developing product specifications, product approvals and orders at end-users within assigned region.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing users, new users and distribution partners through direct meetings, telephone and email contact.
- Maintain a strong focus on developing new accounts and new business opportunities.
- Identify key end-users within assigned geography, who present significant and profitable sales opportunities. Develop sales at target accounts through problem identification; problem needs analysis, and product specification
- Maintain sales responsibility for all assigned direct and distribution accounts.
- Introduce new products to distribution management and secure initial orders and placement in catalogs, flyers and on-line promotional vehicles. Provide training and support for distribution inside and outside sales teams in developing new product sales Provide sales and product training for distributors and their sales staffs.
- Implement marketing and business plan programs as assigned. Provide feedback on key competitors and market trends. Evaluate and report on new market development potentials for existing products and propose new products for potential product development.
- Manage and provide direction to field sales team in assigned region. Fully implement all programs with the field team and ensure full compliance / participation in the organization sales funnel program.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities. Complete all required reporting on a timely and accurate basis.
- Provide effective management of issues between end-users, distributors and ITW CC Electronics.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- Five to Ten years of sales / sales management experience in a business to business role
- Strong technical aptitude
Other Qualifications:
- Experience with chemical / specialty cleaning products, preferred
Work Environment and Travel:
- Must be willing to travel 90% plus of time within assigned territory
