Your role as Sales Rep Medical Devices:

Magstim is a global medical device organization with a focus on TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), a non-invasive neuromodulation technology pioneered by Magstim over 30 years ago. TMS therapy requires medical device (capital equipment) to treat patients struggling with depression. TMS therapy systems are primarily sold to psychiatrists, hospitals, and behavioural health clinics.

We are looking for an experienced Sales Representative to sell our clinical TMS portfolio used as a breakthrough treatment for major depressive disorder. This role will report directly to the VP Clinical TMS Sales. In your role you will be responsible for the development and execution of the commercial plan of the Magstim TMS brand. You will establish (new) relationships with customers. Part of your role will also be to provide training, problem solving and product support. 

We are looking for a candidate with preferred work experience in the same medical field Magstim is operating; selling to psychiatrists, hospitals and behavioral clinics or related medical device experience. You will be responsible for selling our products into your responsible area and you will, together with other products be selling our flagship clinical TMS system and our clinical, non-invasive neuromodulation product line. You will manage direct customers but also work alongside our distributors.

The preferred candidate can bring a network and can accelerate growth within a short period of time. We are also looking for a highly motivated candidate, a real self-starter who is willing to take ownership. As this position is a homebased position, frequent travelling is required as soon as there are no more restrictions.

Your responsibilities are:

  • Develop and implement sales plans to meet sales quotas by promoting Magstim TMS solutions to new and existing customers;
  • Sales forecasting and detailed updates in CRM; manage travel time and expenses;
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision makers to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty;
  • Solution based selling techniques with a consultative approach;
  • Continuously prospect for new opportunities within assigned territory;
  • Install and train on TMS equipment within assigned territory in coordination with Magstim sales trainers;
  • Educate and support customers on reimbursement landscape and best practices for the management and marketing of TMS clinics;  
  • Follow-up to assure successful implementation;
  • Participate and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours.

Experience & Requirements

  • 5+ years medical device sales experience;
  • Experience selling to physician offices and clinics;
  • Capital sales and leasing experience;
  • Proven track record of growing sales and exceeding sales objectives;
  • Ability to successfully manage a large and diverse geographic territory;
  • Thorough understanding of the sales process, interpersonal capabilities and strong sales presentation skills;
  • Ability to retain customers and ensure high customer satisfaction with timely follow up and customer rapport resulting in additional unit sales;
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time;
  • Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills;
  • Demonstrated computer and organizational skills;
  • Strong business acumen;
  • Remain current on industry, customer, and competitive trends;
  • Provide competitive intelligence, market insight and evolving customer needs to management;
  • Follow policies and procedures to achieve organizational and expense objectives;
  • Maximize success in assigned territory while simultaneously being a team player.
