Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.



Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.



Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.

The primary focus of a Sr. Cloud Architect is an expert in a core set of Oracle cloud services, products and solutions; and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales force



As a Sr. Cloud Architect, they will be responsible for providing pre/post sales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Internet Sales Consultants.



Develop and deliver high quality value proposition, proof of value and demonstrations. Recognizes competitor's strengths and weaknesses and positions Oracle's product/service offerings accordingly. Leverages expert, global Oracle technical resources to address customers' and partners' requirements. Manages the execution and implementation of business plans. Prioritizes the use of time and resources for the achievement of business goals. Identifies critical risks in plans and creates alternative plans as needed.



Present and articulate advanced product/services features and benefits, services future direction and overall Oracle Cloud solutions in IaaS, PaaS and pre-packaged Applications/SaaS. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships. Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision. Develop and deliver proposed solution to customers.



Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Serves as a recognized authority/change agent and relates their professional function/technology expertise to real business situations with enthusiasm that inspires and motivates others. Maintains a vast knowledge of the latest trends, findings, and developments in the wider professional/technical domain. Anticipates change and its impact on others. Manages the change process by identifying barriers and obstacles to change, and by ensuring that these are overcome. Expands business networks through close professional relationships. Pursues highest value alliances. Acts as a role model for building quick rapport and constructive resolution of differences. Uses complex business flows to distil critical client needs, and links Oracle product capability to resolve critical problems Defines a compelling link from Oracle's solution to tactical plans, resulting in identifying critical business drivers. Anticipates and establishes relevance of the solution at multiple levels, including personal needs, for customer decision makers. Acknowledged authority within the Corporation.



Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. 12 years applicable experience preferred.
