Description

App Development Sales Executive

The App Dev Sales Specialist is a collaborative sales resource to drive sales focus on selling Oracle’s Cloud Application Development suite of solutions including, Java Cloud Service, Developer Cloud Service, Application Container Cloud Service, Mobile Cloud Service, Application Builder Cloud Service and overall Cloud Native app tools. 

They are an expert in resource utilization and a chief mentor to their peers and Core Technology sales teammates.  The primary focus of the role is to sell a complete Oracle solution, drive enterprise programs, and act as prime strategist in competitive situations.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated Quota achievement selling Application Development and Cloud Native tools
  • Expertise in custom application development frameworks and tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Cloud Native Marketplace including application development to operations, and DevOps
  • Demonstrated Success in managing a matrix-based pre-sales team
  • Ability to clearly articulate both a technical solution as well a solution to a business problem
  • Ability to articulate an Native Cloud Development message to both a Functional (Applications) as well as Technical (Architects & Developers) Customer Audience
  • Vertical Industry Expertise: Retail, Financial Services, Communications, Manufacturing/Hi Tech, Healthcare, Energy a plus
  • Capability to Develop and Advise Customers on Successful Software Deployment plans and alternatives
  • Ability to deliver a Technical Presentation without a pre-sales engineer.
  • BS or BA degree, MBA a plus
  • Technical or application sales experience with a focus on solution selling to IT, line of business analysts and C-Level executives
  • Ability to understand Oracle Cloud roadmap relative to product components, technologies, and solutions
  • Knowledge of competing technologies in the area of Cloud application development
  • Exceptional presentation skills



Qualifications
Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).

Primary job duty is to sell technology software products and related services in a defined territory. Identifies, qualifies and closes new opportunities. Manages accounts including the entire sales process from business development prospecting and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support. Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self sufficiency.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years of technology sales experience. Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business. Business development, prospecting and presentation skills. Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability. Proven track record of exceeding sales objective and territory/account development. Experience as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle*s competitors. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
